Youth Makers Market Shift Times
Youth Makers should attend the shift or shifts they purchased.

Please arrive early enough to check in, unload, park, and set up before your scheduled shift begins.
Check-In & Arrival
All Youth Makers will check in at the North Check-In Gate.
A Youth Makers Market sign will be posted near the road to help direct families to the correct entrance.
Upon arrival:

Drive to the North Check-In Gate.

Check in with festival staff.

Park briefly off to the side as directed.

Unload your table, products, and supplies.

Move your vehicle to the main festival parking lot.

Return to finish setting up your booth.
Youth Makers do not need to attend Friday setup unless they are participating on Saturday and choose to prepare early.
Families should arrive with enough time to comfortably unload and set up before their child’s shift begins.
Youth Makers Market Location
The Youth Makers Market will be located behind Camper Van Village, near the main vendor marketplace.
This location was selected to give young makers a real marketplace experience while moving them farther from the main stage sound.
Youth Makers will be placed under a shared 20' x 40' festival tent. The tent provides overhead shelter but does not have sidewalls.
What Families Should Bring
Please bring:
• A table that fits within your assigned booth space
• Chairs for the Young Maker and supervising adult
• Products and displays
• Business name sign
• Price signs or tags
• Cash box or money pouch
• Small bills and change
• Receipt book or notebook
• Business cards or thank-you cards, if desired
• Water, snacks, sunscreen, and comfort items
• Portable phone charger, if using mobile payments
Parent & Guardian Responsibility
A parent, legal guardian, or designated adult must remain with the Young Maker throughout their full shift.
Vintage in the Hudson Valley Festival does not provide childcare, booth supervision, money handling, or transaction support.
Parents and guardians are responsible for:
• Supervising their child
• Helping with setup and breakdown
• Managing sales transactions
• Handling money and payment apps
• Ensuring products are appropriate
• Monitoring safety and behavior
• Any tax obligations that may apply
Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need to set up on Friday?
No. Youth Makers do not need to set up on Friday unless they are participating on Saturday and prefer to prepare early.
Where do Youth Makers check in?
All Youth Makers check in at the North Check-In Gate.
Can we drive up to unload?
Yes. Families may drive to the North Check-In Gate, park off to the side as directed, unload, and then move their vehicle to the main festival parking lot.
Where is the Youth Makers Market located?
The Youth Makers Market is located behind Camper Van Village, near the main vendor marketplace.
Will Youth Makers be under a tent?
Yes. Youth Makers will be under a shared 20' x 40' tent without sidewalls.
Does a parent or guardian need to stay?
Yes. A parent, legal guardian, or designated adult must remain with the child throughout the entire shift.
Are tables and chairs provided?
No. Families must bring their own table, chairs, displays, and booth supplies.
Is electricity available?
No. Please bring battery-powered items or portable chargers if needed.
Can Youth Makers accept cash or digital payments?
Yes. Families may accept cash, Venmo, Cash App, Square, or other payment methods they are comfortable using.
Are sales guaranteed?
No. Sales are not guaranteed. This is a real marketplace experience, and sales may vary based on attendee interest, pricing, products, weather, and traffic.
What happens if it rains?
The festival is rain or shine. Youth Makers will be under a shared tent, but families should still prepare for summer weather.
