What Is the Young Makers Market?
The Young Makers Market is a curated section of the event focused on empowering young entrepreneurs and makers.
It is not a flea market or resale space — it is an educational and community-centered experience where children learn:
• Responsibility
• Customer interaction
• Confidence & public speaking
• Basic financial skills
• Creative problem solving
Parents and guardians remain present at all times, ensuring a safe and guided experience.
For sponsors and partners, this initiative represents a meaningful investment in youth development, creativity, and community growth.

What Parents Need to Bring
To ensure a smooth and successful experience, families should arrive prepared.
Required:
• A table that fits within the 8’ x 8’ space
– 6-foot or 8-foot folding tables work well
– Card tables are also acceptable
• At least two chairs (one for child, one for adult)
• Products and display materials
Strongly Recommended:
• Mobile payment app or card reader
• Cash box with small bills and coins
• Tablecloth or small display bins
• Snacks and water for the child
This preparation ensures a comfortable and organized booth presentation.
Who Can Participate
The Young Makers Market is intended for:
-
Youth entrepreneurs
-
Young artists and makers
-
Kid-led creative businesses
-
Handmade goods, art, crafts, and small creative products

Participation is open to children and teens whose projects are primarily youth-created and youth-led, with guidance and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
Sibling Participation:
Siblings may share a booth together, provided the project is youth-led and a parent or legal guardian remains present at all times. Only one booth reservation is required for siblings sharing a space.
Your Booth Includes
Each Young Maker receives:
• One 8’ x 8’ booth space
• Placement under a large shared canopy tent for shade and weather protection
• A defined vendor area within the festival grounds
• A safe, family-oriented environment
• Visibility to thousands of attendees across the weekend
This setup allows children to participate without the expense or complexity of full vendor infrastructure while maintaining a professional presentation.

How Young Makers Accept Payments
Parents or guardians are responsible for all transactions. Most attendees use debit or credit cards, so digital payment methods are highly recommended.
Common Free Payment Apps:
• Cash App
• Zelle
• Square

A small cash box with change is also helpful. This process introduces children to basic financial literacy in a guided, low-risk environment.
